My System Specs

Default First water setup for MM88

Like many of you HWC fellow I am waiting for my tax return to come in. As a student I will have a good amount of money and I was decide to spend some on hardware. After few day debating with myself I decide to spend it in a little WC loop. I know nothing in WC and it will be my first time doing my own ( already set some with friend but only as a guest ) I would like some hint and tip on what to get for rad, fan, pump, tub well on almost everything I also want it to be good but not that expensive because I will expand it with time if I like it and want to go with more. but....I have 2 rules that can't be bashed away...I want it to fit in my ATCS 840 ( not that hard ) and I want it to be SILENT!!! I don't care about putting premium for the pump as long as she is SILENT!!! I will keep this thread up to date many time a day looking at what you tell me to do and maybe in a week or two you will see my WorkBlog Thx guys for helping me I will also try to make a plan about the setting but I can't promise anything because last time I have try to use autocad it was a true massacre.

Edit : Gerard I know you are gonna comment so be gentle

Edit 2: The PC I am gonna WC is the one in my sig I7 860 ( 1156 ) and blablabla no really need for the rest.

it will as much silent as you fan,, I'm not satisfy with my fezer rad , it need to much noisy fan, I plan to order 2 swiftech MCR320-QP and put them in sandwitch betwen 3 row of silent fans, look at the pics, I will just add fan on the outside , but the way it's design I can see a problem, anyway, I can do something in case. So don't falow my idea for now just wait I get them and try them.

Scythe Gentle Typhoons 1450RPM fans are silent, and they apparently perform well on radiators. I have 3 on my HWLabs SR-1. Can't hear those, rather all I hear now is my MCP355 (DDC 3.2) pump. Should quiet down though once it's fully bled.

So now it`s the time to chose for the water block. I have seen these 2 ( can order from any where but I do my search with performance PC )

Koolance CPU-360 (CPU) [no nozzles] Products Model: CPU-360 [CPU-360] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come
Swiftech APOGEE XT Ultra Extreme Performance Water Block Products Model: APOGEE-XT [APOGEE-XT] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

If they need back plate to be mouted on a board just tell me I will buy the needed part.

Thx you guys!

On what board you want to use the 360, I have one it does not fit on my Maximus, and bearly clear the capacitor on my Rampage Gene, it have very good back plate, compare to the EK , on my 750, I switch the EK back plate for an extra Noctua back plate I have here,

It will be hard to have silent with single radiator. I suggest at double with 38mm fans.

How is about those two blocks?

Daz, come'on you try to sell your stock or what, I know the EK Supreme HF is not in stock, but it's a better block than a LT.

I have HF in stock. EK-Supreme HF - Plexi - Universal CPU Water Block EK-Supreme HF Plexi water block [EK-Supreme HF - Plexi] - $69.00 : DazMode, Watercooling enthusiasts store

I don't know budget, so I suggested the lest expensive performance block and most expensive limited edition block. The rest is just in between.
