Agreed. Res before pump is all that really matters, but most will go pump to rad to disipate the heat dump from the pump...

Personally, I would want more rad space... you are looking at 120x4 to cool 3 processing units, it's just not enough.

We shouldn't make blanket statements without more detail on the OP's setup. Regardless, to say that it's "plenty" is misleading IMO. The 5870s are notoriously hot, and any reasonable OC on that i7 will create a lot of heat as well...

The OP specifically listed the parts that he'll be cooling, which is sufficient information.

5870s are not hot. They have quite low power requirements, and heat output is determined by power consumption. And yes, overclocking the i7 will create a lot of heat, but nothing that a 120mm and a 360mm rad can't handle with ease.

No OC info, no specifications on case setup, nothing regarding push/pull config or shrouds... all factors that can create/dissipate a substantial amount of heat.

Look man, I'm not going to go back and forth on this, it's kind of pointless... run the numbers through Skinnee's lab or look through bigger WC oriented sites, you'll be hard pressed to find avid WCers that will agree.

G'luck, M_T_M.

I think you need to spend more time water cooling the rads he's got if they don't do it all then you need to turn down the heat in your house a lot ( like down from 40c haha). i ran a 4850 a 4870 and an oc 920 all on a mcr 320 with 800rpm's yate loon's and had no problem at all in a house where the ambients temps reach almost 30 c which sucks yes but no problems with heat under full load.
edit: I have been water cooling pc for almost 5 years straight now. some many water cooled builds i lost count. luck is not need just take your time and set it up. logic
edit 2. this guys using an 1 320 adn his temps are fine. YouTube - Fully Watercooled, crossfire 5850, core i7 gaming pc - build video (HD)

I never said it wouldn't work... what one person consitutes as "fine" for temps, isn't what someone else might want to achieve either. Then again, I have 4 120.3s sitting on my desk, AMBIENT OR BUST!
