Default Rotary phase cooler by ruffus

Just got my custom cooler in the mail last night so I thought I would make a thread. Couldnt find a phase or extreme cooling section so I guess it goes here?

Cooler is made by HWC own ruffus. :) I worked with him on part selection and the goal for me was to hold -30C at 300W load. Very very few single stage coolers can do this so this sucker is kind of a monster. Big rotary compressor and a giant condensor + many changes of gas got us to our goal. Kind of crazy how heavy iy is, nearly 80 pounds and I was lucky that it made it across the country in perfect shape. Kudos to ruffus for a great packing job.

I fired it up and it dropped below -55C within 4 minutes. For those that dont have phase experience, that is dam fast. Couple pics:

Mounting for all sockets I need and a nice backplate:

5 foot flex line will allow me to reach both test benches:

Gotta get some benching OS installed and optimized and hardware insulated and then I can have some fun. Will post updates as I get em.

Specs:
10,500btu rotary compressor
mix of r410a and r22a

I must say I like the case.... So you are the reason my cascade hasn't been worked on yet eh?

I also hope he has time to take a look at a single stage I bought from the forums here. It can't hold a load worth a damn.

Yah he spent quite a bit of time on this cooler just making sure it was working 100% and holding the load we wanted over a long time. Couple different compressors, and various gas mixtures. He mentioned he was working on a cascade too, and now that this is out of the way he should have some time.
