Exclamation Koolance CPU-360 Caompatability Issues!

UPDATE: The issue has been resolved, read HERE.

This is a direct quote from TechPowerUp! regarding the new block from Koolance that has issues with X58 & P55 Gigabyte boards.

To put it in to context he was getting a huge temperature increase and couldn't figure out why....that is until he had a closer look.

So just fair warning for any of you who were going to try the Koolance CPU-360 on their Gigabyte X58 UD4P. It states on Koolance's website that it is visually confirmed for this board.
Anyways I am now going to try and see if it will work on my EVGA X58 SLI LE board. Will post back with temps (hopefully)>

I wanted to post this here to avoid people ordering this block for the GB boards under the assumption it will work (like they say it would!) when it actually doesn't.

Is it me, or it seems there is lots of thermal paste on the CPU ?

But good to know.

Ya it just confirm my nood statement. and yes I start to worry about fitting it to my board

edit : it will may not fit on my Asus but on my Evga ... the caps ar not touching the cpu socket like the giga on the pics , I think it will fit the Asus Formula III ( finger crossed)

This should fit other boards...its just because Gigabyte decided to pile on caps really close to the socket.

Also, that is a lot of TIM.

If it doesn't I will swap you my 345 for the 360.

On a more serious side.....I hate when they say something works and it doesn't.......I dont expect this from Koolance as they are usually A+ when it comes to being honest about their products.

I pulled this from the same thread as the original post:

It shows the compatibility of Koolance products for his UD4P.

It also appears that the EVGA X58 SLI LE and X58 Rampage Gene II has issues with this block.
