My System Specs

Default First Watercooling Rig in a long while.

My first watercooling rig was a swiftech 478 rig, with a single 80mm rad. Since then, things have certainly changed!

Anyways, this is the setup i'm looking at - comments / suggestions most certainly welcome.

First off, This is all going in a CM ATCS840 case (first rig) and second rig (i7 folding) going in a CM Centurion 590.

I'm looking at purchasing this:
NCIX.com - Buy Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima XT Plus Universal CPU Liquid Cooling Kit - H20-220 ULTIMA XT PLUS In Canada.
Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima XT Plus Universal CPU Liquid Cooling Kit

and Swiftech MCR320 + Second
MCW60 VGA water-block (+ a few barb fittings + 10 ft of primochill clear tubing + a whack of Noctua P12 fans)

Rig loop will be: Pump (MCP 655-B) > GPU1 (GTX280) > GPU2 (GTX260) > MCR220 Rad > CPU (Intel 9650 @3.6-4.0 Ghz) > Northbridge > MCR320 Rad > Micro R2 Resevoir > Back to pump.

Will the pump be able to sustain this 24/7? or should I get another pump and separate the GPU / CPU loops?
Is there something i'd be doing totally wrong in this loop?

I chose the kit due to ease of installation, and not having to pick every single part in the setup - unless you guys have a better / more affordable solution in mind. I don't feel like busting the budget too much, around the $5-600 range.. i'm doing this mostly due to noise issues (damn loud GPUs)

After the first machine is done, i'll be looking at the i7 box to be watercooled (near future)

Not a bad kit, BUT :

personally I dont see the point of cooling the chipset. Adds restriction and the cooling does not provide with a significant impact. Normally, if your case is well ventilated, the northbridge will be alright.

Second, for a 775 cpu you could use the swiftech GTZ, NCIX.com - Buy Swiftech APOGEE GTZ LGA775 CPU Water Block G1/4 Chrome HI-FLOW 1/2IN Barb Fittings - APOGEE-GTZ In Canada.
a good block wich certainly be enough for your targeted OC and you save 40 !.

Noctua fans aren't cheap, You could use cheaper fans like yate Loons and use a fan controller if you want to undervolt them.

Let me try a cheaper kit :

cpu : GTZ

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=32248&vpn=APOGEE-GTZ&manufacture=Swiftech 42.78

Mcr 320 - 48.24 Direct canada

Swiftech MCW60 universal waterblock - RETAIL Swiftech MCW60 universal waterblock [MCW60] - $34.99 : DazMode, Watercooling enthusiasts store MCW60 - 34.99
Tubing 10 feet -
Feser Tube UV Hose - 1/2 ID - 3/4 OD - CLEAR/NOT UV (1') Watercooling tube, 1/2ID clear [Feser Tube UV Hose 1/2ID-3/4OD] - $1.39 : DazMode, Watercooling enthusiasts store - 11.39

pump :

NCIX.com - Buy Swiftech MCP655 12V Industrial Water Cooling Pump 1/2IN Barbs - MCP655 In Canada. - 76.82

Total : 215 + 20 $ for barbs + 25 for RES : 260 $ vs 350 $ - with a bigger radiator.

Yeah, buying separately is the way to go for sure (did some price compares)
Sorry to keep asking, but have three questions left. :)

Question on fillports:

I'm getting the
Swiftech MCRES-MICRO REV2 Clear HI-FLOW Water Cooling Reservoir and attaching a Swiftech watercooling fillport (w/ 1/2" high flow barb fitting)

1. Do I need another barb fitting for the top of the reservoir to attach to the fillport?

I've also switched the setup..

Rig loop will be: Pump (MCP 655) > GPU1 (GTX280) > GPU2 (GTX260) > CPU (Intel 9650 @3.6-4.0 Ghz) > Micro R2 Resevoir > Back to pump.

2. Is that going to be too much heat? Should I add a rad after the second GPU?

3. Will the single pump be able to do that loop? (with or without the second rad)

Where is the first rad? some will say it depends on what block you use. I would say yes it will do the job but you will need a good rad to dissipate all the heat.

whoops.

MCR320 Rad after the CPU (before the reservoir) or should I put it before the CPU? lol..

Whatever works for plumbing ease. It's been shown that the location of the rad in the loop makes a minimal impact on coolant/cpu temps. Although I always try to plumb the rad in right before the CPU.
