Ooooooh nice! I'm adding an internal double rad in addition to the triple at the top fairly soon!

I was just about to make a post asking something but the above post kind of touches on it. I too own an ATCS 840 and i'm in the middle of purchasing parts. For a CPU only loop (i7 920 running at 3.8), would a triple be good? I know the answer is yes, but i'm contemplating purchasing an MCR220 to stick in front of the drive cages as well, for a total of 5x120mm rads.

Is this overkill or what?

Only for the CPU ? It would not be overkill, it would be extreme overkill.

Right now I've got a triple rad at the top with a single one at the bottom cooling and OCed i7 920 4.0 GHz, mobo full cover block, 5870 and 460. Temps under load for cpu around 65 and 460 when folding is 45. So yes it's overkill, but I'm doing it anyways. (I'm actually making a second loop just for my video cards)

Just to be clear, I believe overkill is fun when it comes to watercooling. But is is still overkill !

Hmm... haha well then. I'll still think about it before I make an order in a few hours. Also, what fans are you using out of curiosity? I'm going with S-Flex 1600's as I already have 2 on the HDD cages.

Same, but might make the switch to Gelid UV ones just for looks.

I used to have Yates loons, because they were cheap and had good static pressure. I also used some cooler master for the same reason.

The marginal difference with more expensive fans was not enough for me to justify it. Altough, other user will swear some fans are better and worth it.
