Hmm problem

Got my watercooling stuff today and was putting the hose of the barbs on my block and it ends up they are too close :( anyway to fix this without having to order new parts?

stoanee December 3, 2009 12:31 PM

Need to run a 45 degree elbow for clearance?

AmuseMe December 3, 2009 12:44 PM

You mean the barbs are so close that they are touching? Then you will need some 45-degree adapters, just as stoanee said.

Not the barbs are fine just the tubing, for now I just used 3/8ths in that spot till I can order some 45s

What block are you using? I've had some close situations on blocks like the Fuzion, but nothing I couldn't squeeze clamps onto.

Alphacool yellowstone with 1/2 3/4 tubing

Hmmm....I'm trying to remember whether I used a 45 angle fitting on that or not, actually, I think I did on 1/2ID 3/4OD tubing but not on 3/8...yup, a 45 fitting is needed for 1/2"

Goalieman077 December 3, 2009 07:52 PM

Yep I bought 2 45 compressions from daz, till then I have one part 3/8ths. I have to empty after anyway sinc I had no distilled so I used my pc ice coolant

Goalieman077 December 4, 2009 05:24 AM

WOW, even with a 3/8ths piece and not the best parts my load temps are down 20C and my idle 10c! Dng I love Wcing, now I just gotta let it bleed for the next day or so since there is a fair bit of bubbles left that wont come out cause the bubble all "stick" together and are really small

use a hammer to get the bubbles out. :thumb:
