Default Suggestions on WC build

Ok, let's open this up again...... :)

What would be a good choice out of current NCIX offerings for a high flow rad fan on a single 120 rad?

I'm building up an order ATM, and the only question left is the fan, and if I want to bump up to the next level of pump..... :)

This is what I've got so far......

I've already got an apogee GT and have no need for GPU cooling.

So what fan? And if I bump up to the next level of pump, what would be the favorite?

Also... any obvious issues or something I've forgotten? (like is the only thing that doesn't have 1/2" barbs the rad?... it'd really suck to get everything together and find out I'm short a set of barbs.... :) ).

Heh.....

Ok, I've already changed out for the non-speed-adjustable swiftek pump (I doubt I'd hear anything over the sound of my fans anywise.... :) ) and it's looking like it's going to come in under my budget.

I have the Swiftech 655-B pump and it works great and is silent.
There is some debate about what speed it actually runs at.
FYI swiftech response on the MCP655 vs MCP655-B - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

I also have just installed (last weekend) the Swiftech 120 rad you selected and I'm not impressed with it at all. I have a low CFM fan on the swiftech 120 and I plan to switch to something with higher CFM this weekend. I have a Hardware Labs BIX 2x120 for my main rad.

As for fans I used these logitech for high CFM along with a rheobus and they work well and look cool with LED's but they do make noise. quite a lot of noise at high speed.

I also use a couple of these yate loons and they push some decent air are are very quiet

Looks like you thought of everything.....the fan...I'm no expert but I've heard good things about the yate loons.

Thanks for the info.....

I'm not committed yet, so I may end up grabbing a 240 and figuring out how to mount it in place of my top mounted TT rad.

I had hoped that a higher end pump paired with a decent 120 rad & the apogee would give me better temps than my current TT, but I don't want to invest the coin on a system that's not going to give me better temps.

If I go with the 240, I'll just slap a fan and fan grill into the current 120 hole at the top/front of my case..... :)

What's your budget? I'm asking since NCIx has their great bundled kits and there are always the Swiftech kits too (to which I'm sold to).

So far it's coming out around $160 for the higher end pump + 3 yate loons.

I looked at the NCIX kits, but since I already have the WB, it's looking like I can get non-magicool gear for around the same price, and I really like the idea of a 1200 LPH pump.... :)

Right now I'm comparing between DC and NCIX.

For around the same price DC gets me the adjustable pump but they don't have the swiftech 240 rad, so I'm wondering if the Black Ice Xtreme II Dual 120MM is comparable, or if it's a year behind the times.

I like the MCR320, you can use low-noise fans and get great performance, whereas if you use a BIX, you need high CFM fans (80-100+) in order to get ~the same, if not a little more performance.

I can recommend a MCR320, but not a MCR220, because I haven't used it.

Unfortunately, a 320 the way I want to mount it might be quite a pain... :)

The 240 would have been perfect, but it's not in stock at DC, and for some reason they only let you add stuff to your wishlist rather than into your cart to be shipped when it's available.
