My System Specs

Default Help deciding which pump
Like the title says. As this is my first attempt at water cooling, i'm looking to get some advice as to which pump i should be using. I'm using 1'2" ID tubing. Using a EVGA X58 vanilla board

HK 3.0LT
Bitspower mosfet block
Bitspower NB/SB block
Feser triple rad


May cool 2 GTX 275's on a separate loop. TIA

That's not a particularly restrictive loop - just about any pump will work fine. Another good option might be the recently released EK DCP 4.0 (basically the CPX-Pro pump rebadged). It's a very strong contender, and doesn't need an aftermarket top, and much better priced.

FWIW I just replaced my CPX-1's with CPX-Pro's and I'm not so happy with their noise. Mind you I wasn't happy with the CPX-1's at first either for the same reason, but after ~1 month of use the CPX-1's were DEAD silent so I'm reserving judgement on the Pro's to see if things change.

Hmm, I've never noticed mine being noisy. So long as it's on a piece of foam I can't hear it. That said however, 19 fans tends to drown out most noises, soo

Odd. I had something of a grinding noise at first with my DB-1, but they went away in a few days. My own CPX-Pro was quiet from the very start. I would vibrate if you had it touching something else solid, but as long as it was sitting on something soft like gel/foam/felt, it was easily as good as any of my DDC's.
