Talking Waterblock for HD5870?

I know there is an EK one, an Aquacomputer one, and a koolance one.

Which one is best?

Also, would a triple rad suffice for an i7 920 and 5870 loop? It has Noctua fans on it.

Thanks.

I had a MCR320 with my GTZ and GFX2 on a GTX285 with acceptable temps. Your triple should be fine. And of the 3 blocks, I'd take an EK over the other 2.

Does the EK 5870 block support compression fittings? If so do you recommend them? What are some of the better ones?

Thanks

Pretty sure they would, most EK full cover blocks, in fact.. I can safely say all FC blocks I've seen do support..

For compression fittings, both feser and bitspower have then, I prefer and suggest bitspower.. You could get regular barbs and cheap worm clamps for half the price than a single compression fitting (I think so..) but if you want the looks, and the trouble of not tightening clamps/zip ties... then get them, or if you're budget affords..

Either way can't go wrong..

Some guy on some other site told me my Swiftech triple rad would not be enough to cool my i7 920 and 5870...

Is this guy high or legit?

Is so, then I'd might as well buy a full plate

The EK is the best choice since the liquid goes right over the VRMs of the 5870.
One of the first to do that and its about time. REAL full coverage.

I'm glad that so many people agree that EK is great quality. I like them the most too.

Any triple rad with single GPU is perfectly fine. I like Feser myself. Compression fittings on EK is not a problem.

I would never touch anything feser but can and definitely do recommend bitspower. They'll also have a 5870 FC block that will also work with a 5850. Swiftech Komodo is also supposed to fit both types
