Default Looking for a quick upgrade

When I change my water coolant I am wanting to change my 120.2 radiator to two MCR320-QP-Stack (120.3 x2) in the stackable way. This would be mounted on the exterior of my Antec 1200 and I am just wondering if the two 120.3 would do a great job cooling my Q9550 E0 and Rampage Extreme (x48) Northbridge. (I am considering GPU cooling down the road) EDIT:: Or would a 120.4 be better?

EDIT::EDIT:: I am going with the 120.4 Radiator and my 120.2 will acompany it

What kind of fans are you using? That stacking setup has been generally shown to provide very little benefit with lower speed fans. For that matter, even a single triple will do just fine. It would get a little warm if you added in the 4870X2, but even that isn't beyond its abilities.

How about one 120.4?

If you had the room, I'd expect equal or better results from a 120.4, especially once the GPU is added. Also, trying to put in the screws between the rads is a good way to increase your level of hate towards the world.

For a CPU that's a waste of copper. What are your temp deltas for coolant to room temp now with your 120.2? But that config would give you lots of head room for GPU's.

Right now with my Q9950 (E0, lapped @ 3.6GHz), and Rampage Extreme x48 North Bridge (Swiftech MCWNB-MAX), the temps (CPU) are around 36C idle, and 49C - 51C under full load. I really want to hit 4GHz, and have (@ 1.35V) but I found 65C (full load w/ OCCT) a little high, even though I was told 65C is fine.

I plan on cooling my 4870X2, or TWO 5870s down the road. So what rad is better for that? A single 120.4 or the two 120.3 stacked?

PS: I can mount the 120.2 inside the case still! :-) :-)

Single TFC 360 will be enough. Check my signature.
