Yeaaah. I'm just saying what I would do, and have done many times. And for the record the fet sinc works fine with the heatpipes cut, you just need airflow. :rtfm: Take a look at this thread, the guy did a good job cutting the pipes and cleaning it up. You could also remove the whole heatpipe system and buy a cheap cooler for SB and MC14 ramsinks (or 2 x EK Asus 3 Mosfet blocks) for the fets.
