Default HeatKiller CPU blocks: share your results

Hey guys, I don't seem to be getting the best temps with my HeatKiller 3.0.

I'm currently @ 4.2Ghz (200x21) with the settings listed in the attached image. The temps are at idle, and seem kinda high... I still have some tweaking to do.

Share your numbers/setups. Cheers!

Those are idle temps? Yeah, I'd say something is definitely wrong. Just to hit on the obvious points - you didn't leave the plastic film on the bottom? Is the radiator getting hot? Do you have the inlet and outlet on the proper holes?

I'll be trying out my own later on this summer, be interesting to see how it does.

hehe, no plastic and the rads are nice and cool... proper inlet/outlet and everything.

I'm going to take it apart and rebuild it -- makes sure everything is set properly.

Have you tried just the one mount? Try remounting it again and see what you get for temps before you rip the system apart.

Check if the block is resting on any caps on the board and preventing it to make full contact with the IHS.
I know that was the case on the Gigabyte boards.

Is your HT on?

I'm moving the system into a different case... so I gotta tear her down anyways.

Just do a remount, the HK rev3 is really really touchy about mounting, my first two yielded 60+ temps, my last yields 50's.
