Default Question on Rad sizes

I'm looking at putting together my first WC setup and had a question about available sizes for rads. I plan to use a Cooler Master ATCS 840 case and it mainly uses 230 mm fans. Although I could use a 3x 120 mm rad on top in place of the 2x 230 mm, the CFM / noise of the 230 mm fans tends to be better.

Are 230 mm (or 2x 230 mm) rads available? I've looked at all the WC manufactures I could find and haven't been able to find one.

Thanks
James

Even though the 230mm fans technically have a better air/noise ratio, that's only in an open-air situation. The fans have very low static pressure, which means they choke pretty quickly under restriction. The 120mm fans are better at pushing air through obstructions such as a radiator, so you'd actually do better to use 120mm fans if you going to mount a radiator up there.

Thanks for the replies - Hadn't thought about it from a static pressure point of view. I think I'll look to do a push / pull setup using fairly quiet 120mm fans and a 3x rad.

Thanks again
James
