Default Question on SLI Fittings

Wondering whether its worth the extra $ to get the SLI fittings? or just run some straight tube to two connectors? Im not overly worried about the bling factor, but I saw the Koolance 3-4 slot fitting, i liked that its adjustable, but wondering if its required or not? Opinions? Thanks :D

If you can fit regular barbs/compression fittings in instead then no it isn't required. But with a lot of tri sli setups they make things a lot easier.

Most of the time people just dont want the hassle of placing a piece of tubing between cards.

Also for info, my setup is just 2, regular SLI on a 780i, so there is quite a bit of distance between the blocks. Ill be taking pics and starting my own build thread shortly. Its all internal in a 900 case... its tight. Im currently doing the 'put it together, measure, tear apart, put it together, measure...." you get the idea. Tedious, and not my forte (patience) but i want to do a decent job :D

SLI kit is cheaper then two compression fittings or even barbs.

Yup the SLI kit is great, i got one running between my 4870X2s and it was an ease to install, its adjustable on demand so that what you need.

Its great since if you cut the tubing too short or too long, your doomed. lol

Im a Strutural Designer, so id be crucified if i hadnt heard of the ruler lol. My question was more directed to flow/ease of installation, and most important, most reliable. I didnt like the idea of installing the cards with the hard connector, but likewise, i didnt want to have any leaks with a tube. I think i like the flexible tube idea better, its also is better for the bank :rtfm: If the 'Financial Controller' aka my fiance knew how much id already spent, id be asking the pet for more room at bed time.

Now instead of starting another thread, here is another question. Im really undecided on my loop sequence. I was going to run this -

Res top/res on pump (thermaltake)/pump/Small rad/big rad/CPU/GPU1/GPU2/ and back to res top.

But i was wondering if this would be better -

Res top/res on pump (thermaltake)/pump/CPU/GPU1/GPU2/Small rad/big rad/ and back to res top.

Reason, i was worried that after the pump, if you run through the two rads first, that the pressure would drop by the time it hit the CPU and GPU's. I figure that you want pressure in the CPU/GPU for better cooling?

Should I run one of the rads in the middle of the CPU/GPU's?

Also i was considering changing to a Swiftech pump, so there is no res lower in the system. I wanted the res as my higest point, so theres no way any air wants to get in the system. Also the TT pump is rated at 400L/hr, i was going to test to see if it has enough to really cool this setup.

Please throw that Thermaltake pump in the garbage. Seriously. It's bound to fail and leak.

Thermaltake just can't do watercooling right. Anything by them related to watercooling should be avoided IMO.
