Exactly! Not to mention that the 3000 rpm is not exactly a quality 3000 rpm either. The pressure sucks on these fans when compared to a quality fan. San Ace's are king of the hill in this department. They are simply the best fan you can place on a rad for water cooling period! There are no others and the closet one is the Delta but has to go over the San Ace in rpm's just to keep up.

You guys haven't seen pricing on 140mm San Aces! Cheapest fan well over $100US ... and I don't even talking about retail price.

But you have my word, if you get that $50 120mm aluminum San Ace in your hands, you WILL suddenly KNOW that it worth it. I was skeptical too... Now I'm thinking about my loop draining to remove radiator....

It seems I have a lot to learn

Anyway, I managed to find a fan controller that claims it can handle 30W on each of its 6 channels. Seems a little too good to be true given its price, but it's well-rated so it may just be legitimate: NCIX.com - Buy Sunbeam Rheobus Extreme Black 5.25IN 6 Fan Controller Blue LED Up to 30W Per Channel - RHK-EX-BK In Canada.
EDIT: I seem to have reading comprehension problems, as Sadasius reports that the fans need 50W on the first post... Derp

I think you can pencil me down for 3 of those San Ace Extremes, Daz.

You cannot use that fan controller. It will go 'poof' and smoke will come out. Each fan takes 4 amps.....That is probably more then the entire controller you want with all channels together. So you would need a controller for 12 amps and 150 watts of power for 3 fans. We are looking into the PWM controllers now that can handle this and if it works well I am more the sure Dazmode will stock the controller for these fans.

Then I will leave the task in your capable hands, good sir.

From the looks of what products exist in the fan controller market these days, we may end up needing to bust out the soldering iron and potentiometers and build our own.

Well that's the thing. They are custom made PWM controllers because there is nothing on the market for fans like these. There is one custom controller that can control 25 of these fans and is able to handle 1600 watts. I don't think anyone here will need that except me because I am that retarded to do a build like that but there are others we are going to check out and see if the frequency can be dialed in just right for these fans so they don't make weird howling noises. Also take note as well that you have enough amps on the 12v rail from the PSU as well because you could end up blowing it up if your PSU is not up to par performance wise. It is why I like single rail PSU's..... I don't know if you have ever blown a PSU before but it sounds like a gun shot and you have to check your drawers afterward...

FFS, you can't be serious about running these things...

"Daddy, why do my ears keep ringing?"
"So I can be as close to ambient as possible, son..."

Please...

Sure why not? It's not like the computer is in our bedrooms or anything plus my temps are already in the 3 degree range of ambient so it's not that either. My rads already have San Aces in push/pull now as I have stated but just the weaker one's. This is just to tickle the kid in me. What the hell, you only live once!
