This block looks amazing. I just ordered one from Sidewinder today and should have it tomorow. I hope to actually be using in soon. It will be replacing my Apogee GTZ.

I see that nickel plating is something that's done quite commonly to this block. Why exactly is that? Does it help with corrosion? Improve performance?

It's entirely cosmetic. But since most waterblocks use acetal or acrylic for the visible parts, plating isn't really an option. The HK just happens to be a prime candidate for it.

It keeps the copper from oxidizing but its mainly for aesthetics.

Nice zlojack, any idea how much they are charging?
Also you giving it in yourself or sending it by mail to them?
