Default MCW30 and DFI P965-s nightmare - pics

Ok so i read somewhere the Swiftech MCW30 works on the dfi p965-s chipset.. well it was quite the nightmare. for my first watercooling effort it didn't go without a hitch lol.

the DFI chipset only has 2 loops to hold it down. as you may or may not know many intel chipsets have 4 loops. if you only use the two loops the pressure from the tubing on the waterblock pulls it off the chip.. almost put the stock hs back on.. anyhow to make a long story short i "Made" my own second set of loops...

will follow up with my build pics.. just a temporary install until i get my next case.. perhaps antec 900..

just had to vent lol..

ok here is a pic.. sorry its blurry.. camera was set to infinity.. next time i open the case i will take a good pic..
you can see the left intel hook and the right is actually a standoff with a small metal piece with two holes in it, one for a screw and one to hook onto. the other end of the mount hooks onto the bottom of my waterblock, the apogee gt happens to have a hole in the perfect spot.

ALSO: another area of concern. the manual says you can take off the mounting brackets and use the supplied screws to hold the block together. well the screws barely grab the threads so i pulled out the first thread. the washers you see on the block are there because i used longer screws.

here is before pic.

here is a finished pic. (getting a little better at wire managment)
