Lightbulb Core i7 waterblocks roundup GTZ vs Supreme & LT vs K350

I was itchy for while to run my own CPU blocks round up, so I grabbed all I have on hands and make myself busy for a good month. It took much more effort then I expected, but it was fun.

Feel free to comment and flame if necessary, including grammar mistakes, which I'm sure I have plenty (that is why this was not published elsewhere ).

I've put review right on the front page of my own site. Enjoy.
See my sig.

Great job!!! (other than the missing graph.... :) ).

Must have taken you quite some time to do that.

What's the deal with the kooldance threads? Is that a metal thread insert? If so, that's a great feature for an acrylic top block. I've sworn off of acrylic because of the issues I had with my first TT waterblock. It's just too easy to overtorque the barbs (even while getting the tubing on) and cause micro cracks to form.

Correct on Koolance inserts. Looks great too.

Interesting compilation. And yes, it's definitely a lot of work getting a proper round of tests done on waterblocks.

Was the CPU lapped? That's been the subject of some discussion recently, regarding the performance of some waterblocks?

No, I tried to stick to fairly standard set up, presumably what most people are having. No fancy stuff.

Interesting and complete review; my comments.

1. I would not state that the GTZ performed poorly - the delta in temps is rather low: 2-5C at worst. Though I do agree with your conclusion, the GTZ is unmatched in a multi-blocks loop. (edit: I've re-read your comment; your wrote poorest, which is correct. My mistake).

2. Is there a way for you to test the D-Tek Fuzion V1 and V2s? I use a V1 w/1366 backplate / Swiffy 220 rad on my Fold rig, and I'm quite surprised by its performance. If you need one, we sure can do a temporary swap.

Maybe it was a glitch on my end, they're all working fine now. (I'm pretty sure it was #3).

If you can end me block I can run the test, but I don't think I will carry D-tek in nearest future. The next manufacturer I standing in line for is maker of heatkillers. I like German products :)

I linked your review in XtremeSystems. Didn't link any graphs or anything, just the URL. Great job!
