Finally back up

The last board I bought was a POS and couldn't overclock worth a damn. Finally got a decent board a few weeks back and since I was testing the ioXtreme for a while I didn't have the time to throw it back on phase.

+20C? or -20C?
Any pics Lowfat..would be nice to see your prep for sub zero temps.

Well Core Temp says +20C when running 8 threads of Linpack. This is @ 4.8GHz, 235bclk w/ 1.3375V. It could be very well a bad mount but whoever build this thing (bought it from someone on the forums) didn't do a very good job on the mounting system. The head has 7-10mm of play in the mounting bracket. And the mounting holes themselves have a lot of play as well. So chances are the head isn't even sitting properly on the CPU.

As for prep I didn't take a picture but i did it very well. Removed socket hold down, erasered it all up. Erasered everything in the socket area (up to the edges of the CPU). Even did the vaseline in the socket. Then used 3 layers or insulation around the head.

I saw your 4.8GHZ clock in your sig yesterday Lowfat and wondered how you did it. I found watercooling to be an adventure for me so this phase cooling is pretty nuts.

The specs on that rig are impressive with the ioXtreme (pity the rig can't fold bigadvs yet ;) )

Is the cooling tube running around the bottom of your case and then onto the CPU or does it go through the case?

I don't know if i fully understand your question so I'll just post a pic.

It goes out where the rear exhaust fan is.
