EK is going to release EVGA Classified full cover chipset block
You guys likely have already read that EK made single block for EVGA Classified chipset/mosfet motherboard.

This is realy nice, makes me want to have his mobo. Just 2 water connections instead of 6 for my Gigabyte.

Here is pricing if anybody interested.

3830046991416 EK-FB EVGA X58 CLASSIFIED Plexi+Nickel USD 129,95
3830046991423 EK-FB EVGA X58 CLASSIFIED Acetal+Nickel USD 139,95

Here is prototype:

The one-piece design is nice, but I think I like EVGA's solution better, with the NB and SB flow paths in parallel with each other. Even with the NF200, you don't need insane cooling on the SB area, and blocks like this EK design create more flow restriction than a chipset block should have.

Damn first I heard of this..... Neat idea though. Makes it so much easier for tube routing.

I would tend to agree with MpG.... and I wouldn't go with the one pictured though, me thinks its fugly..lol...might not be too bad as a separate loop with a mcr120-qp-res rad though, a nice simple easy way to WC mofset/nb/sb.

Well this is how the red/black one looks: (found it on another forum)

That block totally kills the boards sexiness.

Well that depends on what parts you think were sexy to begin with. Things can be done to a motherboard to dress it back up again. The EK block you can throw some red LED's in the 'classfied' link part of the block assembly to make it stand out and video cards won't hide it. Plus if you use the Dominator Airflow RAM cooler from the GT series that is black and red and take out the stock fans and put in red LED one's then I think your sexiness would be back. :thumb:

Granted, it's a matter of taste. But personally, acrylic and copper doesn't mesh with the Classified's red. An acetal top would work better in this case, imo. But even that kind of kills the lines that the stock heatsink gives the board.
