Default Pump rattle?

So my CPX-Pro has developed a rattling noise, as of a couple of days ago. It sits on a block of Petra's Gel-stuff, so its not the case. I tore the loop down today, cleaned my block and res, flushed my rad, and took the pump inlet off, didn't see anything built up on the impeller.

Any suggestions? Because I started to WC because of noise, and this is driving me slightly nuts.

bearing or cavitition makes noise

what happeneds if shut off flow by squeezing/kink the outlet tube ?

sound gone ? if so then you got cavitition problem

still noisey ? replace pump

Must be a bearing going bad. Sigh. This pump is only 7 months old.

What does the pumping in these pumps? Are they Magnetic Drive Impeller? Could he just replace the the impeller?

Be interesting to see a picture of the insides of one of these pumps...if anyone could post one.

Yes it is a magnetic drive impeller. If I decide to take it apart again I'll post some pics.

EDIT: I think I just figured out what the white floaties were in my loop. I think the impeller is slopping around, and hitting the outlet, and shaving off the ends. That's the ticking noise I'm hearing.

So a new pump is probably in order.
