You won't need near a liter. I mixed my whole Hydrx bottle with a liter of distilled water and made a mess while draining it twice due to leaks, and I still have a LOT left in the bottle.

You should apply new stuff every time you take it off the CPU. (Or at least I do that, because you don't know what might get in there)
Unless you're taking it off to see if it spread the paste properly.

Shayan, bring your block with you on Saturday to make sure the barbs I have will fit. I'll bring the unused Swiftech barbs out of my GTZ too. Or, if you can catch a ride, you're welcome to bring your computer to the house and I'll help you change out the block.

Cheers,
Gord

are you cooling your 8800gtx? Do you have thermal tape as well? When I installed my 8800gts block it came with thermal tape as well as thermal paste. The tape is used for the ram.. I'm not sure if thats standard, or if thermal paste will work as well.

I would take the opportunity offered by Gord, find a ride for sure and learn a lot from a member that has experience.

Unfortunately, he's got to take the Skytrain to get out to my part of town, he doesn't have a ride available. I don't think I'd take my comp on transit either.

I'll find him some barbs that work in his GTX, and he can take it from there.
