Post Modding ideas??..

:help:Hi everyone!!

i'm new to this forum and would appreciate if anyone could help me with my new water cooling set up.
I just purchased a Swiftech H20-220 APEX ULTIMA kit and was planning to instal it on my TT Armor Plus. I also got a MCR320 3x120mm Radiator to use instead of the 2 fan radiator that it comes with. Because my case fan set up exhaustes all hot air at the back of the case " includig my PSU(enermax galaxy) that also exhaustes hot air by its rear fan", I would prefer not to instal my radiator behind the computer.
Could anyone give me any ideas of how to fit this big 3 fan radiator somewhere other than behind the case? Any modding idea is welcome.

Thanks in advance!!

You can bolt it to the top with spacers to let air in the bottom. Or mount it flush and cut holes for the fans.

Thanks for your reply.

I think the set up on top of the case with spacers should e very cool.
I was considering to mount it right in front of the case but it would take too much room there(almost all my drive bays). Isntaling the rad on top is my new favorite choice!

Thanks again

If you've got a tall case then you can rip out the hard drive bays. Put the rad at the bottom front of the case. Then mount the hard drives in the 5.25 bays with brackets.

Personally I like to keep all hot air running to the back or top of the case, but this is just as good.

I've been thinking about doing that. I'm sure I'll never use more than one HDD and optical drive so the other bays are useless. but since the HDD bay "wall" in my Antec 300 is sort of bolted in, how would I remove it? also, would it damage the strength of the case?

I think it is just riveted in place. You can drill out rivets with a small drill bit, just drill down the center of them. And at performance-pcs.com they sell HDD bays from Lian-Li cases hold 3 or 4 HDDs and you could easily mount somewhere in your case if you ever wanted more than one HDD. (Here it is: Lian Li Replacement Hard Drive Rack for PCV Series Cases Products Model: LL-PCV-HDDRACK [LL-PCV-1XXX-HDDRACK] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come)

HI,

I was thinking about doing it the same way but my case is a little crowded.
It has to be out.
In a copple of hours my big rad will be coming in, then I can have a visual of what to use to instal it on top. I think the the spacers that comes from swiftech won't be enough because of the desighn on top ofthe case.

.

I 've to find ome type of longer and stronger ones to mout it there on top.
Once I start it I will send some pics.

Thanks

That case doesn't lend it self to a top mounted rad at all. See if it fits inside the drive bays like suggested.

I know......I realy like the idea to mount it on top but it won't work with my case.
I'm trying to change the hole air flow of my case so I can use my rad behind the case.
Probably I will set my 120mm fans sucking air from the bottom of the case and exhausting all hot air through the top.

Thanks
