Funny they'd be so pricey- because as far as I can see, there's better work put into the d-tek- The barbs are awful on the GTZ- both of mine were different- inprecise. One had no barb on the end at all- just tapered. The design is very new though- looks like more of an impingement. the copper is very thin between the water and the CPU and there are just shallow cut into the copper instead of actual little fins. I'll post a picture of teh inside soon (and the crappy barbs)- I'd replace the barbs with better ones, but the threadings not standard.

The barbs on the GTZ can be easily replaced with other G1/4 barbs. I'm using Bitspower 3/8"ID 5/8"OD compressions on mine.

OK- I tried to stick in a couple of DD G1/4 barbs, but I encountered a surprising amount of resistance, where the stock barbs just popped in there- I was worried about stripping the sockets.

The backplates are in stock at Petras BTW
Petra's Tech Shop

Of course it will cost more, but not that much more compared to getting it at NCIX.
Bust desperate times call for desperate measures.

Just about got mine through before NCIX ran out

But the D-Tek is useless with no 1366 mounting gear!
I had to just purchase a GTZ for the very reason it has a 1366 mounting bracket, a shame i have to lay my V2 aside lol
