Default Bitspower G1/4 Straight Compression Fittings

I noticed these on sale in the Sponsered sales.

Bitspower G1/4 Straight Compression Fittings

How exactly do these work?

Those compression fittings have 2 parts : A barb part where you put the tubing and a compression ring to seal it. Think of the compression ring as a hose clamp. The one in the sponsored sales is only for 3/8" ID 1/2" OD tubing so it won't work with any other tubing size.

That is the size of tubing that I plan on going with. So the compression fittings take the place of the barbs and the hose clamps then.

Would you say these are more secure than the barb & hose clamps?

I bought a pair of these for my EVGA HC16 waterblock and they didn't clear the backplate so I couldn't use them...
