lol knew they look wayy too thick for Zalmans, anyways that must really create some noise but knowing yea yer using a fan controller for sure cause at full blast those would have a kick.

Shrouds aren't necessary IME. They will 1.Make your rad a little more efficient, and 2.Reduce noise. I'm sure the gains are minimal but to me it is a win-win, you get better cooling for less noise, though you do have to sacrifice space.... you don't get something for nothing.
