My System Specs

Default DirectX 10 without VISTA?

Apparently in the early stages, but this shows some promise for folks with really strong non-DX10 GPU+CPU setups.

Its really about the possibility to run DX10 on an OS other than Vista like XP for example.

Yep, but it also looks like they're dropping the coding from hardware to software so if I'm understanding it correctly you wouldn't need a DX10 card, you would only need enough power to crunch the data.

This is a joke... It'll never, ever happen. The guy whose blog it is is some 19yr old. This is probably some kid who figures he's a computer whiz and he's going to reverse engineer something to do in software what it took 5 years and many many thousands of man hours from some of the most talented engineers in the world at nVidia to do in hardware. Good luck, kid.

I don't think anyone from Nvidia nor Microsoft would have worked on making DX10 work on any other OS then Vista.
First off Microsoft wouldn't even do it they want to sell as much Vista as they want.
And why would Nvidia work on that if they know they could just sell new DX10 cards later on.
Money rules they world...

You might want to visit their official website. This guy seems not to be alone. How legitimate is this ? Then there is this VAIO project that merged with the ALKY project.

Falling Leaf | Home
VAIO project "fromVistaToXP.com" Falling Leaf | Alky Compatibility Libraries, which redirects to Falling Leaf Systems.

I smell a lawsuit if this thing is real.
