Here you go. What a converted Molex to 6-pin connector should look like. Basically, you will plug the two Ground leads into the 2 leftover pins once you plug a PCI-E connector into the 8-pin connector on the card.

You will need to carefully take apart the 6-pin on the adaptor to take the two ground leads out in usable condition.

ok for this settup, i will need 3, 6 pin connectors, one to cut apart for the two grounds, one to put in the 6pin hole and one to put in the 8 pin hole?

I think the GX2 is still like $300 for the EVGA at NCIX and the HX1000 is $230 ish so yeah that a little bit of change but seriously look at what your talking about. Adding another GX2 just to get a few more points on Folding @ home welcome to the world of CBRA (Computer bragging rights addiction) its an expensive addiction but ask anyone who is also an addict and there's no regrets well exept a skinny wallet.

lol i prefure to think of it as a "hobby" you dont knock a gear head for spending 500 dollars on original badging for his perpetually somewhat restored whatever car, or for spending 5000 on rims and tires, a stamp collector from buying a rare piece for way more than its worth. Hobbys are hobbys. they cost money and they evolve, and eventually they get to the point where there really isnt much more you can do for them... thats when you start getting a little eccentric... like adding g cards for no other reason than to fold. but thats what it means to have a hobby. if you dont do a few crazy things while doing it, its simply called... killing time.

I assume that you have three Molex to 6-pin adaptors which came with your cards. Correct?

If so, use one for an extra 6-pin to your third GPU. They modify one of the others to modify for the extra two pins.
