My System Specs

Default G-Force 6800 GT

Does anybody have gpu idle fan speed and idle temperature values for this card, completly stock, no mods? A buddy is getting 60 C at idle with fans at 90 percent, seems warm to me. His ambient is 24 C

I still have my old Evga 6800 GT running in my wifes PC. Great Card btw...could run Crysis at Low / Medium settings. Your temps are wayyyyy to hot dude for that card. Mine idles at about 46 celcius and 68 celcius under full load!
Try cleaning out all the dust that builds up on the fan.

cheers

Yea probably just needs a good dust cleaning. I had one of those back in the day, paid over $600 for the dam thing, how is that for insanity.

Touche...believe I paid about $500 for mine (PCI Express made its debut about 3 months later) and simply couldn't bring myself to spend $650 on the 6800 Ultra!!
Still going strong though....fans were real dust collectors!
