Default 4870 water cooling.

Hey I am just poking interest and am wondering about water cooling my 4870's. I might also water cool the whole system. Are there and full coverage water blocks?

i would sugest gpu die block only. with ram sink for everything else

that way if you upgrade your video card in a couple month your block will fit it. otherwise you would have spend 100$ on a block that cannot be use with any other card

Very true, those full cover blocks are expensive, rather stick with something like a D-Tek VGA V2 block, its really good, get some good ramsinks, not sure what the experts suggest, but seen lots using enzotech.. You can use the block as well as ram sinks too.

I am wanting more of an all in one setup or something simple.

All-in-one setups are not what you would expect in terms of performance. Water-cooling is not simple, but it ain't difficult either... MCR220-QP Dual rad / res combo with a MCP-355 pump and those 2 blocks is all you need.

As for full cover blocks, EK have some out, hey Charlie didn't you get couple of those 4870 blocks, if I can remember..
I've seen couple posts (can't remember exactly where) about those ek blocks performing gr8, if charlie did get one of them, ask him, he should be able to tell you, how good they are.

That was basically my PM... I'm selling those 2 4870s and won't need the blocks anymore.
