yup, my 4850 is 20-30% quicker than my 8800 in everything but 3dmark06.

Yeah, nVidia seems to fare much better in '06. The 4850 is faster than the 8800GT, but where you'll really notice the difference is with AA/AF on.... and at super-hi res. Good job getting the 4850 out of them, for $150.

My diamond 4850 came with a scratch and win card, scratched it and won 30% off any purchase at the diamond store. Gonna come in handy when I xfire my rig.
