Remember, introductory price is only for insane early-adopters. Wait a week or two and it'll drop a bit to be more competitive and so that AMD/ATI can show off their impressive first month sales numbers of their new product, hehe.

The warranty is fine. Personally I have never needed to use a warranty on a videocard. If it was $2000 I would care, but look, you are getting a better warranty than most laptops have..... Think of it that way.

I would also wait for a sale though..who knows the back to school sale may knock a bit off tonight.

My x800pro died immediately after the 3 yr warranty expired so life-time warranty is a big deal for me now. It was a beast of a card and I wouldn't have needed to upgrade if I could RMA it.

Ordered mine yesterday morning, before the description even said HD4870X2, now if it didn't take eons to ship coast to coast in this country... It was still in Montreal at 3pm after 2 plane mechanical issues...
