Default Which do you think is better?

gtx280, 9800GX2 or the soon to be out 4870x2 Im upgrading my gpu soon, but i can't decide. I know i have a p5e, but if the nvidia ones are better, i would concider selling it and buying a sli board

Either the gtx280 or the 4870x2, too close to really tell, maybe in a year or so when there are games that really challenge the cards you'll see a larger difference, but both cards will have their pros and cons. I wouldn't go and get a different motherboard just to use the gtx 280 though.

I would wait and see how the HD4870 X2 fairs but based on ES reviews, it should be worth the wait.

I would say 4870x2 will be slightly better.

Hold your breath until 4870X2. It should also drive down nVidia costs as well.

Value: GTX 260 or HD4870
Looks: WTF?!?!?! Cards don't have much of looks... Besides a sexy black PCB.

who cares about looks of a card. It could look like dog crap but if it was powerful and cheap I would buy it. Oh and I think 2 GTX 280's should last a good long while. Even 2 4870's should last a long time. But I think 2 GTX 280's would be better if you don't care about price.
