Default Ati 4870 Temp

Are these temps ok...or should i be worried?

If that's idle temp then I would hate to see load temps. I'm not familiar with the temp range for the 4870 but my 8800 GTS idles at about 33-34 and is loaded at 47-48 degrees.

Wow, is that with stock cooling?

Anyways, I think your 4870 might be defective. Most video cards should run at 50-60C idle. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

The crazy thing is it run just fine i see no problems just thought i would check it out.....i read alot that these run hot

is there a another program i can use to double check thesre temps

Youll have to make a profile in CCC and run the fan hack. It is the only way right now to get acceptable temps. They set the fan to 20% for some reason and it gets too hot. 35% is quiet and will bring it down about 25oc! The fanhack is safe to use.

Theres a link here. To make it easier make sure you can "see" all files and folders. I just searched using "search" for the profile file I created in CCC and hotlinked it in another folder for easy access. You only need to edit a couple numbers/words.
