I did notice that as well but was racing off to the benchmarks too fast to give it a second thought.

Maybe this is a new benchmark procedure ...

I was hoping maybe you could answer that... ?

I think I want one. Even though AMD has limited what games sites can use for the preview. Hopefully the full monty won't disappoint.

Not surprised that it kicks the 280GTX's butt. Can you say "obvious"?

I don't see it kicking the 280's ass at all. Not in those reviews; I'm not doubting it's performing better, but it is NOT an ass kicking. Even in some cases the 9800GX2 (In place of the 280 in this review) is on the same field as as the 4870X2. The 4870 offered better "AVERAGE" score than the others but it hardly kicked their asses. That says a lot and the ******* review says much the same. The only thing keeping these cards so hot right now is the pricing; should nvidia come down a lot shit will hit the fan.

I love being able to talk about some of the X2 stuff before NDA is lifted..since the Preview NDA has lifted anyways.

The card is sick. Disgustingly powerful. And beats the GTX 280 hands down. The ironic thing is that the sites that "previewed" it are using drivers that are about 2 revisions old right now and will probably be 4 - 5 revisions old by release date so expect performance to increase over what you have seen.

at higher resolutions this thing is a beast, it looks like it easily beats everything, and I mean everything, does nvidia have an answer?

I wonder if its worth while for 1680x1050
