The EVGA model for example, only requires a minimum of 450w for SLI:

Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 22 Amp Amps.)
Minimum 450 Watt for SLI mode system.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 24 Amp Amps.)
An available 6 pin PCI-E power connector (hard drive power dongle to PCI-E 6 pin adapter included with card)

So just for my own clarification after reading this thread all the way through. At the beggining a few people were saying that an Earthwatts 500w wouldn't be enough and then a few more people said it would be then at the end someone reccomended a 650 watt. For the record would the 500w work or would you need more wattage? Thanks just a little confused.

the 500w should work no problem, but the 650w would be a lot more efficient
