So you mean dual 8x isn't going to give a huge performance increased over 16x if I am thinking right.

Even if I am running resolutions lower than 1600x**** I should still see more performance increase is that right ?

If budget doesn't figure into your equation, I would say skip the computer altogether, buy a Lambo, pick up some blond triplets and hop in your private jet to Martinique for a love-in.

Or get the HD4870.

I think the first one sounds very interesting SKY . Unfortunately the second option is more affordable

Ah HA!! So there IS a budget. Well, you have made the right choice....in terms of a GPU that is.

I was looking at 2 x 4850 crossfire... I think I will settle with 2x4870s probably

It looks like I might just settle with the 4870's, Currently I have a 8800GTS 512 (G92 core), and the review I just saw from SKY of the 4850 card, there isn't that big increase in performance btw the 2 cards, and in some single card benches, the 4870 beats the 4850 by a good noticeable margin..
