Well guys, the review of this card is up and our time with it is just beginning. After having it for a little over 24 hours I hope you enjoy the review here: Palit Radeon HD4870 512MB Graphics Card Review All overclocking will go in this thread since I only received the card last night and I haven't been able to achieve what I would call a good solid overclock yet. We weren't missing THIS release. ENJOY!!! Last edited by SKYMTL; June 24, 2008 at 10:35 PM. |

Did I just come at the right time and saw this review.. Thanks SKY, seems to be a solid performance card, especially beating the 9800GTX as you mentioned, which it was made to compete with. Also came really close to the GTX 280 is some benches/games. Any idea when it is supposed to hit stores ? |

Great review SKYMTL, I'm here at work and I have been refreshing hardwarecanucks and anandtech hoping to find some info on the hd4870. This really makes me want to ditch my 8800GTS 512. And the crossfire performance is so great it also gives me an excuse to ditch this 680i board and get something crossfire friendly. NCIX here I come...

The layout SKY. Is it exactly the same? Will an EK 3870 full coverage block fit the 4870?

simply amazing card, espcially crossfire compability with the superb Intel and AMD chipsets. Question Crossfire HD 4850 ($400)vs. HD 4870 ($300). Now which would be the better buy? Obviously 4850 would have better performance but which would be the better deal?
