Holly GPU's I checked the 4850 crossfire reviews and they are AMAZING. For the price.... it is ridiculous performance! they scale so verry well.
Impressed I am!
Anybody in for a 3850 Ice3Q Turbo?

haha

SKY, question regarding the GFXchilla, I've read the review where it states that Coolink includes these foam pads to put around the GPU if it doesn't have a metal shim, from the photos, it appears as though there is a shim around the 4850/4870 GPU, but would those foam pads still be necessary?
Thanks!

Para, I actually just got rid of my 3850 IceQ3 Turbo today and got an Asus 4850.

The pads are not necessary when the GFXChilla is used on a core with a metal shim.

Thanks Sky!
I expect my GFXChilla to arrive on Monday alongside my 2nd 4850, not sure if I'm gonna go CF or just sell it off; I couldn't wait for it to arrive from NCIX, so I bought one locally yesterday.

Any idea when the T-RAd 2 will be out for this card

I liked the review of this so much I bought onewas originally saving the money for a bigger expensive card but this was a bit of surprise and a great deal.

I wasn't that impressed with nvidias latest option and couldnt wait for them to shrink.

May get another in the fall with a decent Xfire board.

EDIT: For all you Xfire monkeys out there I found this meandering, highly subjective but nonetheless interesting discussion, on a users experience with 4870's in cf vs. a GTX280.

Finally picked up my 4870 today and immediately went to work modding it with the ThermalRight HR-03GT + Antec Tricool 92mm fan. This is my first vid card mod ever so I'm nervous as anyone can be and I pray to god it works when I slot it into my new system on Monday. The final build is pretty monstrous at 10cm thick so I'm highly doubting whether my Rampage Formula can take two of these for crossfire...
