Nice work SKYMTL. While this card is the new top of line, it looks like it slimly outperforms the 9800GX2. Did I read correctly that the 9800GX2 will be discontinued? Nvidia doesn't want to compete with itself?

Lol, I guess that is the price to pay to be able to have all these amazing hardware toys in your hands.....

your schedule is almost as hard has having a 6 month old son still not sleeping more than 3 hours in a row....

So, I can understand that you'll provide us with a full new ATi vs the Nvidia ? That is what I am really interested in (when will this happen ?)

If I have the time there may be 10 cards compared in any upcoming ATI review I do.

wow 680$ ?!?! lol i was expecting something closer to the 450-500$ mark lol
in any case when can we expect your review of the 4850/4870
because im pretty sure thats where my money is going lol

i have a 9800gx2 n im happy with the results that thing is mind boggling how fast it is but for that price and the fact i got this 9800gx2 free im liking my chances too bad they discontinued it hope they inprove the drivers tho.; GREAT Review

I'm thinking the margins are much higher for 280 over GX2 for Nvidia.

Crazy price on this thing though....almost as much as I paid for my 8800GTX back in the day!! From the sound of it, this card begs to be watercooled.
