Default Should I stick with my 8800gts 512mb or no

I current have the BFG 8800gts 512mb on the ASUS p5k-E

I want to be able to run at a higher AA in the up coming GRID game
I downloaded the demo and played on my 22" 1680x1050 maxed out res and settings but can only play at x4AA anything higher just not playable, and I want to be able to play maxed out at x16AA what should I do.

8800gt 1gb SLI w/ new SLI motherboard
Buy another 8800gts 512mb w/ new SLI motherboard
Pay the extra money for the 9800GX2 and stay with the Asus P5k-E

I don't know about you but I can't see a lick of difference between 4xAA and 16xCSAA. IMO, you might want to lower your expectations since SLI may not really help you out depending on what kind of optimizations are built into the game engine for multi GPUs.

If I were in your position here is what I would do:

- Sell your 8800GTS 512MB now

- Buy a cheap 7600GT / GS

- Wait a month or two

- Buy a "new" (can't say which one, sorry) card.

OR

Be happy with 4X AA.

I would say wait for the next gen cards to come out. At least nVidia's (June 12th IIRC). This will give you more options for GPUs and will likely cause a price drop in older cards (making 8800GTS512 SLI cheaper).

And as SKYMTL said, on a 22inch monitor you wont see much of a change between 4xAA and 16xCSAA. And are you sure the resolution isn't 1680*1050? 1024*1050 would be nearly a nearly square monitor, just a bit taller than wide (no commercial monitors are like this that I know of).
