This only happens above 3.5GB.

It isn't as bad as some are claiming but the stutter is noticeable above 3.5GB.

I think it is best to avoid the 970 for those who want to run VRAM intensive things like Modded Skyrim @ 1440p or above. Might be better to go for a R9 290.
I agree with only one of his conclusions.

Also, THIS IS NOT A SCIENTIFIC TEST BY ANY MEANS. Take my words for what they are: impressions.
His analysis is practically useless. All experienced users should know topics like this can play tricks with our minds. I'll wait for better data before reaching a conclusion.

Pseudo-nerds love stories like this because they can impress concerned laymen with jargon. Humans are information machines who always crave something interesting to talk about. Myths and legends follow and mountains are made of molehills all the time because of this. And then, of course, there are the fanboys; the red folk are having a heyday.

My System Specs

Hmmm, this issue is getting uglier than it originally looked. I hope for NVidia's sake this stuff isn't true:

If it really is, truly a 3.5GB card, that would severely piss me off.

Xeven: How about 10^8.450980400142567e-001 -as a possible replacement for "10e"
