Default PNY GTX 780 Ti XLR8 OC Single & SLI Review Comment Thread

PNY's GTX 780 Ti may not be the fastest card on the block but with a lifetime warranty it represents a great value. Plus, when placed in SLI it can outpace a TITAN Z.

Default Warranty at NCIX only 1 year

There is a contradiction between your stated " Lifetime warranty" and the one posted at NCIX website. So who is right? Also , ok IF it had a Lifetime warranty $841.95 might be worth considering, but for one year, its a waste.

Lastly XFX had a " Lifetime Warranty" on their cards and my experience with " honoring" that warranty has been less than savory, they sent back a the cheapest low end replacement for my X2 4970, with 1/2 the RAM equivalent, so I am wondering if the same would happen with PNY?

Thanks

From PNY's website, on the warranty tab on that model:
1-Year (will be extended for the lifetime of the original purchaser upon completion of a registration form on PNY's website - See more at: GTX 780 Ti 3072MB OC PCIe

Fill out the registration and it's lifetime. Don't and it's one year.

I'm curious as to when you sent it in and what card they sent back... I wouldn't expect to get an upgrade but a card of equivalent performance.

I can confirm that PNY honors a lifetime warranty for these cards in Canada as well.

NCIX simply lists the initial pre-registration warranty.

Default very impressive

Great temps, acoustics, and power consumption. Really shows off the efficiency of Nvidia's hardware.

Exactly..but its how they went about " interpreting" that.... my X2 had 2 gigs of RAM, the replacement had only one gig.... that was 2 years ago.. I loved the X2.. true it was very hot.
Anyhow I no longer deal with XFX..

Cheers

2GB on the card is 1GB usable(1 per core).. they did you no wrong.

Yeah..but.. in words and typed here it all sounds kosher, but thats not how it came across. Later XFX dropped this " Lifetime Warranty" .. it must have been costing them too much.
Now its a weird setup an only on very few cards, also if you don't "register" within 30 days of purchase, its also void.
BTW, I have never had " shady" exchanges with EVGA, they have been excellent all around and always honored the Lifetime warranty with excellent returns.

My 560ti is PNY, no complaints. I think I registered it when I bought it in 2011. Would buy again.
This is the one I'm looking at but the lack of reviews makes me hesitate, wonder why no one buys them?
