Cryptocoin Mining - General Discussion

So we have a thread on Dogecoin and Litecion. I thought we should make a general cryptocoin mining thread instead, where we can discuss our mining adventures, the value of all coins, what's happening in the market, etc.

So far, the value of my coins seems to have dropped significantly so I'm not sure if I want to leave my pc on to mine 24/7 anymore, as I'm mining DOGE. CAT was a bust as I made only like 2.5 CAT a day. Thought 500Kh/s would give me more but apparently not..

Mooncoin anyone? Haven't looked into it much since I can't mine right now, but looks neat.

I'm getting 10,000 DOGEcoins every 8 hours avg. one time got it in 5.5 hours. Still not time to pull the plug yet for me. it is funny, now BTC is up. still get the same money.

Sold .4723 BTC for $371.84 earlier today, that was basically what came from a year of mining LTC on a GTX680. Pays off the majority of the PS4 I bought. (Well, "peordered" on Amazon"

I wish I was a Keener and was mining the latest coins and trading them making all the money in the world. I am not said person, I am mining ltc and that is it. It is a real shame bc I do have a little muscle to throw at mining. :(

You're mining on GTX 780 right? The new CUDA Miner is pretty amazing... I think you can get around 500Kh/s.

I know the feeling of wanting to try to jump on the latest thing and hope it goes. I have dabbled in a couple, Cat, Net, etc, but really I have settled for just litecoin and dogecoin. Thing is with Doge down so much it is a gamble, but just by going up a bit you can make quite a bit more. Litecoin on the other hand is a lot more stable. There are a lot of people out there making money just by selling high and buying low but I just don't have enough liquid assets to really make much off of that.

My 780Ti has hit 600KH/s and my 780 will do ~530KH/s. If I offload the small SHA256 component to the cpu using the -H 1 flag I can squeeze a little more performance from my Nvidia cards.

Thats a pretty nice improvement alright.. it was at 350 - 380 for a 780

Phil, do you have a config you could share?
