Exclamation GTX 780 vs 780ti

Hey guys,

Getting a new card for Christmas.

Running a 1920x1080 120Hz monitor.

Is the 780ti that much better than the 780 in terms of price/performance?

For example, I want to run BF4 at least 60 fps MINIMUM on Ultra (2xAA is fine).

Thanks for any input!

It is quite a bit faster.. price to performance wise.. thats a bit more fuzzy

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Review

This page has a price to performance chart BUT it's based on the then current MSRP of each card and not all of them are equal in their supply - demand
AMD cards have spiked in price recently and of course it does not take into account any sales or the like.

Take a review you trust.. then divide the price you can get each card for by it's fps... thats how you compare price - performance.

The GTX 780ti in general makes huge gains when over-clocked. They easily hit around 1150 with the stock cooler which translates into a lot of extra FPS. I would go with the most expensive card you can afford. You can price match them to 699.

What a tough question. It is nice to get that maximum performance and if you're absolutely stuck on a single card, I'd lean towards the 780 Ti in most cases... I'm not an expert, but a quick search makes it look like the 780 Ti is doing much better with the price to performance ratio on average. Still, if you want to go the route of SLI is when you find the best price ratio (but then you have to deal with SLI which won't work properly in BF4 until a new patch).

I have no issues running gtx 780 SLI. Oh and a single 780 will give you over 60 fps on ultra at 1080p. That said I ran an evga acx sc.. Not sure about stock clocks.

I am looking at the 780's especially at this resolution Ti might be overkill? Can use the extra money saved to pick up a 2nd used 780 later. But I'm trying to hold out until Maxwell's release whenever that is.
