those prices HAVE TO come down.
you can buy a 290 ref with a gelid cooler for cheaper or a accellero 3 for just as much slightly less.

yea i was able to get an xfx 290 reference. Since xfx are ok with customers changing the reference cooler I think I might source a gelid cooler or accelero and call it a day.

429 for reference + 50-70$ cooler = 479-499 still cheaper then the aftermarket cards or I go and watercool but the damned GPU block is sold out everywhere!

Also I presume since they are using 8+6 connectors the OC will be similar?
