My System Specs

Default G-sync 144Hz or 2560x1440P IPS

^^^^ Depending upon what you're willing to drop on a gaming monitor, I'd wait until Jan / Feb 14 and see what the new Dell 4K monitor line up looks like, the prices will come down and we maybe able to get into a 2160p ;)

Max $500, so a Dell may be out of my range.

what is the timeframe for the release of these G-sync monitors. Will you be releasing a review?

Real quick, would you rather use a 27" 2560x1440 IPS monitor, or a 1920x1200/1080 24" with G-sync?

I'm just wondering if it's worth waiting for me to pick up a G-sync monitor, or if I should just go with a 27" in the near future...
I ended up getting this 27 inch 120 hz 1440 ips monitor for 325 -

Amazon.com: QNIX QX2710 Evolution II 27" LED Monitor: Computers & Accessories

I'll more than likely still get a g-sync though, as I'd like to have a tri- monitor setup (i only game on one monitor at a time).

That is exactly what I need in a 27" monitor, and a price I want to pay.

Question: You say it's 120hz, but I don't see that anywhere on the webpage, and in my research, the only 120Hz displays are 1080P. Are you sure this one is 120hz?

So, the question is, do you go for smoothness, or pixel count and quality.

Sky is the only one who seems to have played around with G-sync. Maybe he can chime in here on which technology he would favour at the moment.

It's one of those monitors that you can OC, you could do anywhere from 60-144 i believe. I just got one today; I haven't set it up yet. Between newegg and amazon though, you can't beat the stellar reviews.

Yeah, tell me about it. this may be the monitor I pick up. Let me know what you think when you get it set up. If you have any dead pixels, your first impressions of image quality, etc.

Will do. Do the same as well whenever you get it.

Have you tried overclocking it? Let me know your results when you do. I'm not entirely convinced. That's not to say I don't believe it's possible, it's just that I don't have any experience in these matters.

Oh, one other question. Are you in Canada? Did you order from the US Amazon site? How did that work out?
