To Include 3DMark Vantage testing or not with GPU reviews??

Since we want the community to be involved as much as possible with the reviews, it is time I put up a poll for you guys to have a bit of a say in upcoming reviews.

This has to do with 3DMark Vantage and whether or not to include it in the upcoming GPU reviews. There are a few options above and I would VERY much appreciate it if you could voice your opinion.

No the benchmark is from what i gather is that it is synthetic and don't reflect real world performance.. ie crysis quake wars et benchmarks to name a few is what I have been using..... to be honest i rarely have used anything from 3dmark..

I voted yes, but I think it should obviously be in conjunction with some real world testing as well to back it up :)

While synthetics may not give you an accurate real world comparison, or realistic expectation of your hardware, they are handy when it comes to allowing users to compare their system's directly to see what type of performance gains they can expect when used with today's software and ahrdware developments

3dMark Vantage has some stunning visual effects that we are just starting to see in applications, and in many case, have yet to see. I think in that respect it is a very useful tool for comparing hardware.

Add it to the reviews is my vote!

Not to mention it is going to become the new norm for basic comparison. Adopt early or don't adopt at all

I agree 100% :thumb:

So it doesn't bother you guys that many of us have seen differences of up to 1800 points in the GPU tests from one run to the next with the SAME hardware?
