Interesting. I am surprised AMD have allowed something like this to happen again, though it probably generates publicity and sales (so I guess I shouldn't be surprised). Congrats! They are a great card if you have a setup to better handle the heat (WC or afternmarket heatsink....non-reference once they show up).

Nice what type of framerates do you hit on BF4? I always wondered what these cards could do given some proper cooling and google searches yield nothing.

With my cards o/c'ed to 1.1Ghz GPU (no throttle) and 5.4Ghz Memory this is what I go with BF4 SP with FRAPS.

XFX bios 5760x1200 All settings on Ultra (no AA)

Min.fps 49 Max.fps 103 Avg. fps 71.15

Asus 290X bios flash 5760x1200 All settings on Ultra (no AA)

Min.fps 44 Max.fps 117 Avg. fps 82.94

Come back in a month and let us know if it's still working. I flashed one of my R9 290 cards at launch and it worked for a week. It is now a door stopper.

Interesting to know. What exactly happened when it became a door stopper?

You lost 5 FPS on the minimums. That's not a win imo. I'd want those back.
